Description

Description (Service) Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) have partnered to launch the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Eating Disorder Program (SMREDP). This joint initiative aims to:
  • create new pathways in treatment
  • enhance existing programming
  • decrease hospital admission rates
  • provide high quality evidence-based care
  • centralize services to improve access for patients and their families
  • pre-treatment phase offers families support prior to receiving treatment
Expansion of the program allows for a continued treatment journey for a population of youth that have never had access to these specialized services. It will also help to manage long wait lists and ensure patients become connected to the appropriate services in a timely manner.

Eligibility
  • Children, Youth, their families with OHIP cards
  • 25 years and under
  • Application Referral from a physician or nurse practitioner is required
    Languages Other - will arrange for translation as needed
    Fees None; OHIP funded
