Donations of gift bags for special occasions throughout the year are given to women and children in need within shelters and the wider community. These shelters include:

  • Green Haven Orillia
  • Rosewood in Midland
  • Interval House in Bracebridge and Chrysalis in Huntsviille
  • Salvation Army in Barrie, Orillia and Midland

Other groups included in this help are the CAS Kinship and Protection families as well as other families in need in the community and CAC and St Vincent de Paul.

New items are needed throughout the year to keep this project going. Holiday occasions include Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Mother's Day and Halloween.

Items are accepted year round.
Items needed are :

  • shampoo/conditioner
  • body wash in small bottles
  • toiletries to fit inside cosmetic bags
  • hair needs
  • feminine needs
  • razors etc.
  • journals
  • pens
  • puzzles
  • games
  • toys
  • candy
  • chocolate(s)
  • balls
  • craft kits
  • pencil crayons
  • markers
  • pencil sharpeners
  • notebooks
  • any school supplies
  • socks for moms and kids and teens
  • any clothing with tags
  • toys and things for boys especially from ages 7 to 15
  • books
  • Chicken Soup for the Soul books for women
  • just about anything at all that will fit into gift bags.
