Description

Description (Service) Seniors at Play is an initiative to provide seniors in Orillia and surrounding areas with age friendly recreation programs. Seniors at Play programs are hosted in the Orillia Room at Rotary Place (100 University Avenue) and in various outdoor locations in the summer months.

Seniors at Play offers a wide variety of programming tailored towards older adults including:
  • Seniors socials
  • Table games
  • Shuffleboard
  • Carpet bowling
  • Special Events
  • Fitness classes
  • Volunteering
Goals of this program:
  • Preventing senior isolation in our community.
  • Promoting physical activity and social engagement.
  • Providing opportunities to build new relationships and eliminate barriers to participation in recreation activities by creating a safe space.
2023 Seniors at Play Calendars are available at the Orillia Recreation Centre front desk.

Hours Mon-Thu 5:30 am-9 pm, Fri 5:30 am-8:30 pm, Sat, Sun 7 am-6 pm

  • Drop-in pass available for purchase at the Orillia Recreation Centre and Rotary Place during programming hours.
  • Pre-registration is not required; drop in to any program with your membership card to participate.
