Description (Service)

The Rotary Club of Stratford is a service club that supports local and international activities involving our seven areas of focus: Promoting peace, Fighting disease, Providing clean water & sanitation, Improving maternal & child health, Supporting education, Growing local economies, and Protecting the environment.  To support our work, we organize fundraisers such as Scotch Mist, Dragon Boat Festival, Stratford Home & Leisure Show, and the Rotary Christmas Craft Festival.  There are annual calls for youth to apply to Rotary-led citizenship and leadership training programs.  Past community projects include the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth and the Stratford Rotary Complex.

Aquabox is an emergency response program to provide clean water filtration kits in areas suffering from natural disasters. Aquabox works in partnership with Global Medic (distribution group).

COMMIT works with seven rural villages in Nicaragua to improve healthcare, water supplies, community and education programs, sustainable agriculture, and local economic development. The COMMIT team travels twice yearly to Nicaragua.
