Description (Service) | ANAVETS is Canada's oldest veterans', ex-service persons' and community service organization with more than 27,000 members and 74 units throughout Canada. Fellowship and meeting place for members and veterans of the armed forces and auxiliary personnel allied with the British Commonwealth of Nations * non-partisan * non sectarian * when necessary will assist with recruitment * maintains museums, libraries and other items to improve the lives of veterans and to 'stimulate the spirit of patriotism' * fundraising and services which assist those in active service Hold an annual Memorial Golf Tournament the last weekend of September with all the proceed going to the Early Learning Centre. |
