Monthly benefit payment to help eligible households pay their rent. Benefit payments are:

• portable, so benefit may be received after moving to another address
• based on household income and local market rent values

The City of Stratford Social Services Department is responsible for the initial referral and intake, but the program is managed by Ontario's Ministry of Finance.

• Individuals or families experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  
• survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking
  
• Indigenous people
  
• seniors
  
• individuals with disabilities

• on, or eligible to be on, the social housing waiting list, or
• living in social housing
