COVID19 School health promotion programs and services are currently on hold due to our pandemic response and recovery planning. HPPH staff are not able to actively support schools with health promotion activities or health curriculum support at this time. However, if you are an educator and you have a school health promotion request, you may email your request to EMAIL. The school team will review the request and if your request can be met with existing resources that can be easily shared (e.g. sent via email), we will fulfill the request as quickly as possible.

Public health nurses helping Huron County Schools to identify the unique needs and concerns of the school, focusing on health topics such as:

Preventing bullying, violence, injuries, and tobacco and substance use.
Promoting mental health and well-being
Encouraging a healthy approach to eating, development, relationships, sexuality, and physical activity.
Supporting student-led initiatives and healthy school committees
