Includes a variety of activities to promote health, fitness and safety, including:
  • fitness testing, hearing clinics,
  • foot care clinics, appointment required, call Community Outreach Services or see separate entry for details
  • Lifelabs Clinic: local laboratory clinics offered in partnership to serve the communities needs - appointments are appreciated, but walk-ins are accepted, every Tue and Thu from 7:30 am-10 am
Blood Pressure Clinic - free blood pressure clinics held at:
  • Perth East Recreation Complex (Milverton) - third Thursday from 9-11am
  • Milverton Place - 3rd Fri- 10-10:30 am
Overall personal wellness activities - In home exercises, group exercise and falls prevention classes for older adults and people with mobility issues to improve strength and balance to prevent injury and falls. Classes run by trained volunteers periodically overseen by a regulated health care provider held at multiple community locations:
  • Urban poling - Perth East Recreation Complex, Monday and Thursday 845-945am
  • Indoor walking club - Perth East Recreational Complex, Mon-Fri from 9-11am
  • Breath, Balance and Posture classes (YOGA) for older adults and for adults with disabilities - schedules available upon request
Group fitness classes of varying levels and types held at various locations (schedules available upon request):
  • Rostock Hall (Rostock) - 2 levels of classes offered
  • Milverton Fellowship Church
  • Poole Mennonite Church (Poole)
  • St. Peters Lutheran Church (Milverton)
  • Milverton Place (Milverton)
