| Description (Service) | A regionally based land trust and charity dedicated to conserving the natural and cultural heritage and distinct landscapes of the Kawarthas. * Acquires and stewards important sites, enters into conservation agreements with land owners, raises funds, contributes to landscape planning and shares information by building on community knowledge, research and scientific practice. * Enhances ecological health and economic well-being and sustains the outdoor traditions of the Kawartha bio-region. * Answers questions about land trust stewardship and tax benefits of donating land. * Guest speakers available. |
