Description

Description (Service) Rescues stray and abandoned cats and kittens and finds new homes for them.
  • All cats and kittens are placed in volunteer foster homes until they are ready for adoption
  • All adult cats have been spayed/neutered and are fully vaccinated
  • Adoption fee for cats and kittens is $200. Barn cats are available for a donation (tax receipt will be given), provided they have access to food and water and a warm place to sleep
  • Kittens have had two sets of vaccinations and come with a $50 voucher to help with the cost of spaying/neutering
  • ARK does not allow animals to be de-clawed, even after adoption
  • Cats can be viewed at: the adoption centre at 3307 Lakefield Road, PetValu in Peterborough (Brookdale Plaza), or PetSmart Whitby
  • ARK does not have a shelter and relies on foster homes. Volunteer foster homes are always needed
  • Also operates a Tuck Shop. Donations of gently used items are always welcome.
