Description

Description (Service) Program fosters improvements in the health and well being of Indigenous individuals, families and children.
  • The focus is health promotion, illness prevention, and family violence prevention workshops.
  • The program provides client-based and participant-based services, including:
    • supportive counselling
    • access to services related to reducing family violence
    • advocacy
    • crisis intervention
    • referrals
  • health promotion workshops, community events, sharing circles, drumming, and access to traditional ceremonies
