Regular Service
Develops and manages district programs and services related to the protection of air, water and soil in support of Ministry acts, regulations, policies and guidelines.
  • Manages the province's parks and conservation reserves
  • Approves, inspects and monitors water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, waste disposal sites or systems and air emissions
  • Issues aquatic herbicide permits and other pesticide/herbicide licenses
  • Investigates complaints of illegal activities in these areas and general concerns regarding the natural environment
  • Responds to spills
