Description (Service)

Enforces parking regulations and administers, prosecutes and provides courtroom support for Provincial Offences Act (POA) offences and municipal by-laws.

Services offered:

front counter for in-person service to pay Provincial Offences Act (POA) violations such as Traffic Violations and other POA fines issued under the: Highway Traffic Act, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, Liquor Licence Act, Trespass to Property Act and other Provincial acts
online payment service for parking tickets or Provincial Offences payments
remote audio/video conference court hearings proceeding.

Provincial offences are regulatory (non-criminal) offences such as:

speeding, careless driving or not wearing your seat belt
failing to surrender your insurance card or possessing a false or invalid insurance card
being intoxicated in a public place or selling alcohol to a minor
trespassing or failing to leave premises after being directed to do so
Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Environment violations
noise, taxi and animal care municipal bylaws.
