Description (Service) Peterborough Humane Society advocates for animals by improving their lives, alleviating suffering, rescuing, providing shelter, healing, facilitating adoption and reducing pet overpopulation.

Services include:
  • animal adoption
  • re-homing pets
  • dog and animal bylaw enforcement
  • animal shelter for the City and County of Peterborough
  • temporary care of pets for owners leaving an abusive situation

Walk-in adoptions are open for cats and small animals only.
