|Description (Service)||Festival of activities that celebrates local literary heritage including the works of Catharine Parr Traill, Susanna Moodie, Margaret Laurence and others who lived and wrote in Lakefield, Ontario. Also showcases many current Canadian authors. Always scheduled on the weekend closest to Margaret Laurence's birthday (July 18).
Sunday display at Christ Church Community Museum and services at Christ Church at 9 am and at Lakefield United Church at 11 am. Guest speakers speak at both church services. Sunday afternoon program to be announced annually.

Four events held on Sat: Children's Event 9:30 am-11 am; Young Adult Event 11 am-12 noon; Adult Event 2 pm-4 pm; dinner and evening reading (details to be announced annually).
