Description (Service) | COVID19 In-person group activities are cancelled. * Some group activities moving online. Visit website for program information Welcomes newly arrived government-assisted refugees and helps them meet immediate and essential needs. Services include: * meet newcomers at the airport and accompany them to local community * temporary accommodations * needs assessment, including emergency needs * life skills support including orientation in clients' language on variety of topics, such as federal and provincial programs and services, health care issues, managing money, education system, family life, employment * referrals to community services and other settlement programs * assistance with searching for, viewing, selecting and moving into permanent accommodations |
