Description (Service) | Provides safe, secure shelter for women, with or without children, who are fleeing abuse in their lives. Services include: 24 hour crisis and support counselling by phone and in the shelter * transportation to the shelter * food and emergency clothing while at the shelter * community referrals * court and housing support Family Court Support Worker Program provides information on the family court process and assistance with: * documenting the history of abuse for family court proceedings * referral to specialized services and supports in the community * safety planning * court accompaniment to proceedings when appropriate |
