Description (Service) Duty counsel is available on a rotating basis in Provincial, Young Offender, and Family Courts. Advice Lawyer is available at the Family Law Information Centre (Unified Family Court). 
Applications are taken on a first come, first served basis Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm by telephone through the Client Service Centre. 
Legal Aid representative is available at Northumberland County Courthouse, 860 William St, Cobourg Wed morning and every second Mon morning.

Eligibility Eligibility varies with the income and situation of the clients. A needs test is administered by Application/Assessment Officers through the Legal Aid Office or Client Service Centre
