| Description (Service) | Provides free and confidential legal information, advice and representation to vulnerable and/or low income residents. Lawyers and community legal workers provide assistance related to: * Ontario Works (welfare) * Employment Insurance and employment standards (employees only) * Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) * Canada Pension Plan * Residential Tenancies Act (tenants only) * Consumer Protection * Human Rights Code and the Charter Does not assist with family law, criminal law, provincial offences, motor vehicle accidents, business law, estate law or bankruptcy * will refer inquiries to the appropriate services Staff are also available to provide presentations and workshops in the areas listed above |
