| Description (Service) | Service club supports various community initiatives and charitable projects * supports diabetes awareness programs, People First and Community Living Dragon Boat races * assists visually impaired people through CNIB and hearing impaired people through Canadian Hearing Services * provides assistance for youth sports programs and amateur sports * may provide assistance to individuals in need - request in writing * collects assistive devices including re-cycled eye glasses and hearing aids to send to third world countries * collects pop can tabs for Scouts * conducts hearing and vision screening for children JK to Grade 1 in local elementary schools Meeting and party rooms of various sizes available to rent for special events of any kind * licensed, wheelchair accessible and climate controlled Hosts monthly TGIF Dinners open to the public, for a cost of $15 * call the Community Centre to make a reservation |
