Availability of funds may change throughout the year Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) provides one-time financial assistance for hydro and gas customers Hydro One, Enbridge Gas and former Union Gas customers in all of Ontario can apply for LEAP financial assistance through the United Way of Simcoe Muskoka * see separate listing for details * call 1-855-487-5327 to apply Community Homelessness Prevention Initiative (CHPI) provides one-time financial assistance for utility and rent arrears Housing Stability Fund is administered by Community Counselling and Resource Centre for low income residents of Peterborough City and County * contact or visit the Community Counselling and Resource Centre, Housing Resource Centre for information * 705-743-2272 Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) - Ontario Energy Board provides a monthly credit to make electricity more affordable for low-income electricity consumers. Credit amount is on a sliding scale based on the number of people living in the household and the household income.
