Description (Service) Joint initiative of Kinark Child and Family Services and Peterborough Public Library. 
The committee meets and is comprised of representatives from Peterborough Public Health, Kinark Child and Family Services, The Peterborough Public Library, community representation and the Peterborough Family Resource Centre. 
* Peterborough Public library houses a wide collection of parenting resources about issues that affect the family such as attention deficit disorder, behavioral problems, pregnancy, separation and divorce. The collection is titled; the Healthy Families collection and is located in the lower level of the library in the Children's Department. 
* Committee organizes two free public presentations annually, one each Spring and Fall. The presentation topics can be found on the Peterborough Public Library website by searching; Peterborough Healthy Families; generally by early May for the spring presentation and by late October for the fall presentation.

Hours Healthy Families Centre is open when library is open 
Summer Hours: Victoria Day - Labour Day: Mon-Thu 10:30 am-7 pm, Fri-Sat 10 am-5 pm, Sun 2 pm-5 pm 
Winter Hours: Labour Day - Victoria Day: Mon-Thu 10 am-8 pm
