Description (Service) Provides support for employment and training needs of Indigenous people by creating a cooperative working relationship with First Nations and non-Indigenous associations and businesses. Services include:
  • employment counselling, resume preparation assistance and career fairs 
  • access to training and apprenticeships 
  • self-employment assistance 
  • summer youth initiative and stay in school initiative 
  • Aboriginal business service network 
  • local labour partnership and job creation partnership 
  • targeted wage subsidies for employers including schools, not-for-profit agencies and for-profit businesses 
  • Provides access to computers and internet as well as phone, fax, photocopier and scanner 
  • Offices also located on Curve Lake First Nation and Hiawatha First Nation
