Description (Service) Works to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities in the Peterborough area by promoting equal opportunities in all aspects of life through advocacy, awareness and education.
Active Togetherorganizes activities that are designed to introduce people with disabilities to a new sport or activity.  Whenever possible participation is encouraged by people with and without disabilities to encourage family and friends to get active together.
Time in My Shoes (TIMS) is an experiential program delivered to schools, and currently being modified for community/business deliveries, which provides accessibility awareness facilitated by volunteers who live with a disability. AODA and other legislation exist to address accessibility and theTIMS workshop provides the human context as to why accessibility and inclusion matter.
