Description (Service) KWIC connects people to global issues and local initiatives through opportunities that can change how people understand the world and to create equitable and sustainable communities.

Global Education and Resource Centre provides learning and working space including a free lending library.

As a grassroots, charitable organization, change happens through 3 key program areas:

Community Education:
  • Connects community to global issues through education events, workshops, film, panel and artist presentations.
Youth & In-School Programs:
  • Supports youth through education, leadership training, employment/mentorship, internships and valuable volunteer opportunities.
  • Organize events and workshops for schools and groups on a variety of issues ranging from the Sustainable Development Goals to Food Waste with a focus on building inclusive, welcoming youth spaces.
  • Global Youth - one day conference for local youth for a day of networking, workshops, speakers and inspiration.
KWIC Umbrella:
  • Currently support TRACKS Youth Program, Settlers Taking Action and Responsibility at Trent (START), Trent Oxfam and Sustainable Trent.
