Description (Service)

In partnership with Ontario Provincial Police, offers public education programs such as Child Safety Seat Checks and Installations, Frauds and Scams, Home Safety, Drive Wise, Adult Internet Safety, and Elder Abuse.

  • Also acts as direct liaison with OPP officers working in their local communities.
  • Interested citizens can call Constable Dan Gay for more information about Community Policing volunteer participation.

MedicAlert Connect Protect

  • Collaboration between MedicAlert and the OPP to ensure police officers have direct 24/7 access to important information about people who have a tendency to wander, including those living with autism, Alzheimer's, dementia or other cognitive brain injuries
  • Gives police officers 24-hour access to a registered subscriber's photo, identifying information, past wandering history, triggers, de-escalation techniques and other information through the MedicAlert database
