Description (Service)

Involved in the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

Investigates cases of infectious disease (Diseases of Public Health Significance) and management of outbreaks
Investigates complaints related to infection prevention and control
Conducts surveillance of infectious diseases
Inspects adult and child care facilities and personal service settings (e.g. nail salons and tattoo and body piercing establishments)
Offers consultation, presentations, education, and health promotion related to infection prevention and control

Registered Nurses and Public Health Inspectors are available
