Description

Description (Service) Provides an alternative to custody for youth ages 12-17 who have committed an offence.
  • Offers Reintegration and Community Support for youth who are before youth court and have few support systems in the community
  • Offers Extra-judicial Measures and Extra-Judicial Sanctions
  • Provides skill building programs such as social skills, substance education, anger management, anti-violence, pre-employment skills, financial literacy and an alternative school program
  • All programs assist youth in reducing their risk of re-offending

Eligibility Youth who are involved in the youth justice system

Application Attendance Centre youth are referred directly through the courts or through their probation officer * Reintegration and Community Support youth can be self-referred or referred by parent/guardian, lawyer, school counsellors, teachers, police, courts, CAS, group home and custodial facilities
