Provides programs to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal people.

Activities and programs include:

  • youth and community action program for children
  • community kitchen
  • community development program
  • Aboriginal family support program
  • criminal and family court worker program
  • health outreach, healing and wellness program
  • monthly Good Food box
  • long term care program
  • cultural resource coordinator
  • Youth life prevention coordinator

Weekly events include: an Aboriginal parenting program, sewing circle, Ojibway language, drumming, outfit making class and special events at various times such as luncheons and children's plays.

Aboriginal Community Legal Clinic

  • non-legal advice and information to Indigenous persons charged with an offence and their family members at the earliest possible stage and throughout the criminal justice process;
  • referring Indigenous persons charged with an offence to appropriate legal resources at key stages of the justice process (e.g., arrest, pre-trial, trial, sentencing);
  • referring Indigenous persons charged with an offence to appropriate community resources, including alcohol, drug and family counselling, and educational, employment and medical services to ensure they have help addressing the underlying problems that have contributed to their criminal behaviour or problems that have led to the laying of criminal charges, and where appropriate, advocating for services for Indigenous persons charged with an offence and ensuring that those services are delivered
