| Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, in-person visitations have been suspended until further notice. Tele-chats are still available and can be arranged by phone. Regular Service: Connects and educates people in the community to identify the signs and symptoms that a senior may be at risk and provides opportunity to connect them to the appropriate service Adopt a Senior adopts isolated, lonely seniors at Christmas to receive a bag of Christmas Joy * These individuals continue to be connected to Seniors Safekeeping services and activities throughout the year Volunteer Friendly Visiting program brings clients together with volunteers to ease clients isolation and worry * Visits may include going for walks, reading together or sharing a cup of tea; the desired outcome is an on-going supportive relationship Tele-chat may be arranged for individuals that require a regular call to ensure that they are safe, comfortable and in good health |
