Proof of vaccination and identification may be required for entry at some facilities (such as arenas) but may not be required at facilities that are considered essential (municipal offices, libraries).

When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours. Other buildings such as malls or cinemas that have air conditioning/heating could be used for relief.

Contact your local municipality before visiting or visit their website as locations and hours may be extended or limited depending on season and conditions. Hours subject to change without notice and locations may be closed on holidays.

Kearney Community Centre in the Gym and Library - 8 Main St, Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Powassan Municipal Office - 250 Clark St, Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm - Proof of vaccination requirements are in effect for anything other than transactional visits such as paying a bill etc..
