Description (Service) The Skills Upgrading Program is designed to help learners:
  • build skills in reading and writing
  • obtain high school credits,
  • apprenticeship program placement
  • move on to employment
  • post-secondary education/college programs

Program will assist learners with independence goals of learning basic computers or furthering their essential skills for work.

Currently working with learners who wish to only work remotely.

Program runs from the beginning of September until the end of June.

This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario and through the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement. It is a FREE program for all learners.

Public Comments Upper Grand District School Board offers Skills Upgrading Program classes in Drayton, Dundalk, Fergus, Guelph, Mount Forest, Orangeville, Palmerston and Shelburne
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm

Areas Served Dufferin County ; Wellington County
Eligibility Learners must be at least 18 years of age and not registered in a secondary school.
If English is a second language, learners must have a Canadian Language Benchmark of 6 in speaking and listening to attend the program.
