Visit Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health for updates regarding COVID-19

Community health service promotes and protects the health of the community. Offers a wide range of clinics, classes and courses. Programs include:
  • Prenatal and parent-child support programs including prenatal nutrition, breastfeeding clinics, speech and language services, KIDS LINE
  • Immunization clinics, flu clinics, travel advice and vaccinations
  • School health - school clinics, immunization program, health promotion and education, dental screenings
  • Financial assistance through the CINOT program (Children in Need of Treatment) to cover the cost of urgent dental care for children in eligible low-income families
  • Food handler training and certification
  • Sexual health clinics and services - free and confidential services including birth control options, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, pregnancy tests and counselling, Hepatitis A and B immunizations, anonymous HIV tests
  • Harm Reduction services including needle exchange program, counselling and referrals, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C testing
Other services include:
  • Investigation, reporting and control of infectious diseases
  • Investigation of air quality concerns in public buildings, schools or rented dwellings  
  • Food premises inspection
  • Monitoring the quality of drinking and recreational water and testing private well water  
  • Information and investigation of any situation where the public's health may be affected
