Description

Description (Service) A protected, secure place where visits and exchanges of children of separated families can take place under the supervision of specially trained staff.

During custody and access disputes between parents, the need for this service may arise in situations such as:
  • concerns about the safety of the child and/or custodial parent
  • when the non-custodial parent has a history of drug or alcohol problems or has a psychiatric disability
  • when there has been a lengthy separation between the parent and the child
  • when there is the threat of abduction
  • Services are also provided when contact between the two parties is conflictual.

Service Details

Hours Sun 9 am-5 pm biweekly
Additional hours as needed
Areas Served Northumberland County
Eligibility Separated parents requiring parenting time visits or exchanges
Application Intake interviews required for both parents
  • referrals accepted by Court Order or mediation agreement
  • Languages English
    Fees Service - Administration and service fee from both parties
