The NLT mandate is to establish, maintain and manage protected areas of cultural, historical and natural significance in Northumberland County:

• NLT preserves 1,753 acres of land on seventeen Nature Reserves across Northumberland County
• Majority of reserves are restricted access but some are open to the public and can be visited for hiking and other non-motorized purposes with authorization. Email for more information.
