Service: Northumberland Bridges Program

Description (Service) Northumberland Bridges Program provides parenting education and nutritional supports in a peer support group format. 
Parents receive information on a variety of topics and learn to cook nutritious food. Parents are provided with support in finding and accessing other agencies that may assist them with any issues they may have (e.g. financial, housing, legal, health, employment, social). Children’s programming provides young children with stimulating activities designed to increase their developmental skills and build social skills. Assistance with transportation to groups is provided. Participants receive a variety of gifts and supports, including Milk for Moms Gift Certificates and Simply Supper. 
Pregnant and Breastfeeding Participants receive vouchers for fresh food and prenatal vitamins. Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Infant Development education and support is provided at group.

Meetings: Campbellford: Rotary Hall, 179 Saskatoon Ave, second and fourth Fri of the month 10:30 am-12:30 pm 
Cobourg: St. Michael Church Hall, second and fourth Tue of the month 10:30 am-12:30 pm  
Port Hope: Northumberland Child Development Centre, 205 Peter St, first and third Tue of the month 10:30 am-12:30 pm
