Description (Service) The Health Unit offers the following free preventive oral health services for eligible youth up to 17 years of age: 
• Fluoride Varnish application 
• Sealants 
• Scaling 
• Oral hygiene information 
• Assistance to help eligible families apply for and access publicly-funded dental treatment programs.  
The Health Unit also provides: 
* Oral health promotion resources and dental assessments (visual screenings) to preschool, elementary, and high school students.  
* Data collected from the screenings provides oral health statistical information about the general school population.
