Description

Description (Service) Works to make lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, 2-spirit, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth feel safe by providing them the space to be themselves and the tools to lead positive change in their schools, peer groups, and community.

Provides education through interactive workshops designed and delivered by youth to help educate everyone from 7th grade students to teacher candidates on the diversity of queer identities and how to create spaces to welcome and celebrate them.

Provides workshops geared towards specific service providers, such as nurses, counsellors, and police officers to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth are treated with respect in all areas of their lives.

Supports youth resilience and community building by hosting a weekly youth drop-in.

The youth ambassador program, the queeRAdicals, is active in community outreach, including delivering inclusivity trainings to local schools, service providers, and organizations.
