Description (Service) Canada's largest dual-mandate museum, one that encompasses both natural history and world cultures, and is also a major research institution consisting of curatorial departments, galleries and exhibitions in the fields of art, archaeology and natural science. 
* 40 gallery and exhibition spaces 
* A variety of programs and activities including special exhibitions, concerts, lectures, film, gallery tours and field trips. 
* Educational Services: The department organizes school tours, produces learning resources materials and provides professional development courses for Ontario teachers.  
* ROMwalks offers free walking tours in historic neighbourhoods throughout Toronto during summer.
