Description (Service) Information on historic low-level radioactive waste and the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI), the project to clean up historic low level radioactive waste and contaminated soil in the Municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington.
  • As part of the PHAI, the Port Hope and Port Granby Projects will manage the wastes safely in above ground engineered mounds in each community, monitored and maintained by the federal government for hundreds of years.
