| Description (Service) | The local Alzheimer Society Chapter is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia and their care partners. Services include: Support and education for individuals and families, including help with navigating the health care system and access to other community services. Support and Activity groups for persons with dementia and for their care partners. Resource library of resource materials. Educational opportunities and speakers for a variety of audiences, inlcuding those directly affected by dementia, professional and non-professional care partners, students in educational facilities, service clubs, Church and other community groups. |

| Eligibility | Anyone wanting assistance, information and support regarding Alzheimer disease or related dementia. A diagnosis is not required. Children and adults, Caregivers and persons directly affected who are searching for ways to cope with the impact of dementia. All services are available at no cost to our clients through funding received from the Ministry of Health through the Central East LHIN, and through corporate and private donations and fundraising initiatives. |
