Description (Service) | The Children's Services Council is a non-profit agency funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to provide service co-ordination and plan for children's services in the community.
Participation within the program is strictly on a volunteer basis and confidentiality is respected. Parental involvement is welcomed and supported through the service process as families are encouraged to advocate on behalf of their child. Social, healthcare or educational organizations within the City of Kawartha Lakes or Haliburton may refer a child with special needs. Parents or guardians may also connect for information or consultation. |

Eligibility | Ages 0-19 are eligible for Children's Services Council (CSC) services if they live in the City of Kawartha Lakes or Haliburton County, and they have special needs that require support. A diagnosis is not necessary to access the service. |
Application | Youth and Parents contact directly Any social service, health care or education service agency may refer a child with complex needs. |
