City of Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Advisory Committee

Description (Service) The Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Advisory Committee (KLAAC) is a fifteen member volunteer advisory committee. Each member is appointed by City Council for a suggested term to provide advice to Council and Staff in the preparation and implementation of the annual Accessibility Plan, to review Building Accessibility to Municipally owned/leased premises, to review and provide comment on selected Site Plans as described in section 41 of the Planning Act, to provide comment to the Province of Ontario with regard to the development of the AODA, 2005 standards and other matters relating to the identification, removal and prevention of barriers for persons with disabilities.
