Program content includes demonstrations and talks or slide shows by guest speakers on a variety of topics or on-site garden/nursery tours.
Volunteer members maintain all the Municipal gardens in the Village of Omemee as well as the Legion and Curling Club gardens.
The Junior Horticulture Group is for ages 6 and up and members begin their season after the March break. This Junior group participates in two craft and gardening information meetings featuring a horticultural/nature theme. They also plant seeds and care for the seedlings as they mature.
Both groups come together annually in August for a combined flower/vegetable show where entries are judged and prizes awarded in various categories.
