Description (Service) | COVID-19 Call to confirm dates Program content includes demonstrations and talks or slide shows by guest speakers on a variety of topics or on-site garden/nursery tours. Volunteer members maintain all the Municipal gardens in the Village of Omemee as well as the Legion and Curling Club gardens. The Junior Horticulture Group is for ages 6 and up and members begin their season after the March break. This Junior group participates in two craft and gardening information meetings featuring a horticultural/nature theme. They also plant seeds and care for the seedlings as they mature. Both groups come together annually in August for a combined flower/vegetable show where entries are judged and prizes awarded in various categories. Hours | 7:30 pm to approx 9:30 pmDates: February-NovemberMeetings: The third Monday of each month, social time from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, meeting at 7:30 pm at Trinity United Church, corner of Highway 7 and Sturgeon Street South, Omemee. No meetings held in December & January. A pot luck is held in Feb and Oct. The Feb meeting is on a Saturday. Check website for date and location of this meeting as it changes.Spring Plant Sale at the Legion on the Saturday of the Victoria Day weekend. 9:00 a.m. until approx 11:00 a.m. or until sold out.Annual Flower Show on Monday August 21st, 2017, ( Mon. Aug 20, 2018) and as part of our August general meeting. View the flower show from 6:30 until 7:30pm. Youth awards will be presented at 7:30pm with the general meeting guest speaker from 8:00 - 9:00pm. This year the Show and Meeting will take place at the Legion.
