Lilac Gardens of Lindsay

Description (Service) The Lilac Gardens of Lindsay is a non profit, volunteer, stand alone committee of the Lindsay and District Horticultural Society. They have a partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Department, who authorized planting lilacs in a portion of Logie Street Park and Mayor James Flynn Park. The Logie Street site contains about 600 shrubs highlighting close to 230 varieties and 16 species of Lilacs, James Flynn features another 85 or so. 
The Lilac Gardens of Lindsay is a member of the International Lilac Society and has the largest collection between the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton and the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa. 
SPECIAL NOTE : Due to upgrades to Logie Street Park, there will be no annual Lilac event in 2018. As of April 2018 the park is closed to the public until 2019 and the Trans Canada Trail portion through the Park & Gardens will not be accessible until 2019.
