Lilac Gardens of Lindsay

|Description (Service)||The Lilac Gardens of Lindsay is a non profit, volunteer, stand alone committee of the Lindsay and District Horticultural Society. They have a partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Department, who authorized planting lilacs in a portion of Logie Street Park and Mayor James Flynn Park. The Logie Street site contains about 600 shrubs highlighting close to 230 varieties and 16 species of Lilacs, James Flynn features another 85 or so.
Their annual, signature event, the Lilac Open House/Festival, is held at peak bloom time, usually about the last week of May.
The Lilac Gardens of Lindsay is a member of the International Lilac Society and has the largest collection between the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton and the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa.
The Trans Canada Trail through the Park & Gardens makes for ease of accessibility.
