DutiesAs the Volunteer Run Director your time will be spent managing and empowering your committee to rally support and participants, as well as driving the logistical elements of the CIBC Run for the Cure.

While collaborating with CCS staff, you will be tasked with creating a community engagement plan and engaging the entire committee in understanding and achieving the revenue goal for the event. Along with your committee you will develop and execute a site plan, organize a 1km and 5km route, and recruit a team of volunteers to support all local Run activities.

Safety is a priority during the planning process for you and your team. You and your team will work together to maximize participation, drive fundraising and offset costs through sponsorship and participant fundraising.
You will lead meetings, motivate your committee, and act as a local ambassador for the Canadian Cancer Society. Assist the CCS staff in identifying vacant committee positions and work with your fellow committee members to fill any voids.

To ensure your success as Run Director you will have the constant support of the CCS staff who will answer your questions, provide guidance and assistance when necessary, and connect you with other Run Leaders.
