Volunteer Literacy Tutor for adult students
(Barrie Literacy Council)
|Contact||Kelli Kane, Administrative Assistant, Barrie Literacy Council; Phone: 705-728-7323 * 705-817-3457; Email: firstname.lastname@example.org|
|Duties||Volunteer tutors are needed to help adults to improve their basic reading, writing, and math skills. Occasionally we have students who require help getting their GED. |
NOTE: We ask potential tutors to commit for one year so that they can come alongside a student for that length of time - once students make the decision to learn to read and to improve this skill, they need a tutor who is willing to work with them to increase not only their knowledge but their confidence and self esteem.
