Duties
  • Help needed in sorting toys and items for children and women in shelters or in need
  • Work is done in afternoons
  • Different things happen such as gift bagging or craft kits and other things
  • Everything is related to getting gifts ready for mostly children for all the special occasions
  • There are some things that can be done in your own home such as making stuffies, hand puppets, sewing book bags or pencil cases, knitting or crocheting. 
  • One afternoon a week or a month is needed
Benefits These gifts help needy children all over the region and as well once a year boxes of toulys and supplies are packed and wrapped to send through Canadian Food for Children in Mississauga.
Clients Children's Aid, several Women and Children's shelters, children's Advocacy Center, Orillia Sharing Place , Salvation Army , New Path...

Commitment Length Long Term (More than 1 year) ; I work on my project year round. I welcome help in the afternoons for 2 rmto 4 hours any time you are available. There is a wide variety of activities related all focused on providing suitable toys, activities for children to do etc. All items need to fit in gift bags.
